On the occasion of the European Sustainable Development Week, the Municipality of Rome organized a series of events and conferences to define strategies of urban mobility in the future, obviously in the light of environmental sustainability. During one of these meetings, Angelo Brienza, the head of marketing of Avis Budget Italia made an interesting announcement: from now on, the car rental customers in Rome and Milan will be able to choose 6 electric cars that have been added to the Avis fleet. They are BMW i3, the first electric model made by the German car manufacturer, represented by Massimo Senatore, sales director for Italy for the occasion. The presentation and round table discussion took place in Campidoglio in the presence of local administrators. It is a first step for Avis and BMW in the direction of sustainable mobility and zero emissions in our city, but especially, it can represent an incentive for the city to increase support structures for electric mobility: car parks, charging stations and facilities for citizens to choose eco-friendly means of transportation.
